Do BRCGS and SALSA auditors accept UKAS calibration certificates?
Yes. BRCGS Issue 9 and SALSA both require calibration of measurement equipment with evidence of traceability. UKAS-accredited certificates are the strongest traceability evidence available and are accepted by all major food safety auditors and retailer technical teams without challenge.
Can you calibrate temperature probes for distribution and lorry validation?
Yes. Multi-point temperature probes used for vehicle temperature mapping and cold chain validation are routinely calibrated under our UKAS scope. We can handle full probe sets simultaneously with matched uncertainties across the set, making the results directly usable in validation reports.
What’s the turnaround for production-critical probes?
Average turnaround is 8 working days. For food manufacturing customers where a failed CCP calibration can hold up production or release, we offer a 3-day fast-track service by arrangement. Courier collection can be arranged the same day for urgent cases.

Average turnaround is 8 working days from receipt of instruments at our Lymington laboratory. A 3-day fast-track service is available by arrangement for urgent requirements. Turnaround time begins when instruments arrive at the lab. We can arrange courier collection for high-volume or regular customers.
