Why aerospace and defence teams choose Labcal
Calibration designed for traceability-first supply chains
Quality managers at aerospace primes, flight test operators, defence contractors and MRO organisations use Labcal for work that demands documented traceability on every measurement.
01
Full traceability on every certificate
Every UKAS calibration certificate includes traceability to national standards and states the expanded measurement uncertainty (k=2). Exactly what AS9100 and NADCAP-aligned quality systems require for externally calibrated instruments.
02
Air velocity for flight test and wind tunnel programmes
Pitot tubes and Pitot-static probes calibrated in our UKAS-accredited wind tunnel up to 70 m/s, with traceable air velocity measurement and high-accuracy reference standards.
03
Supply chain ready
UKAS-accredited calibration certificates are independently assessed to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and accepted across aerospace and defence supply chains.
All six parameters
Every calibration under one UKAS schedule
Consolidate your calibration with one accredited lab. No split shipments, no mixed certificate formats, no extra audit complexity.

Aerospace and defence questions
What aerospace and defence quality teams ask us
The questions most commonly raised by quality managers, metrology leads and procurement teams at aerospace primes, flight test operators and defence contractors.
Do your certificates support AS9100 and NADCAP quality systems?
Yes. Labcal’s calibration certificates provide traceability to national standards, stated measurement uncertainty and equipment identification, supporting the requirements of AS9100 and NADCAP-managed quality systems.
Can you calibrate Pitot tubes and probes for flight test programmes?
Yes. We calibrate Pitot tubes and Pitot-static probes in our UKAS-accredited wind tunnel up to 70 m/s. Turnaround can be fast-tracked to 3 days when aircraft programme schedules demand it.
Are you on any MOD or defence supplier frameworks?
Labcal is a UKAS-accredited calibration laboratory supporting customers across aerospace, defence and industrial sectors. We can work with customers to meet specific procurement, supplier approval and contract requirements where required.
Can I switch to Labcal from my current calibration lab?
Yes, and it’s straightforward. Send us your most recent calibration certificate and we’ll quote a like-for-like service matching your existing scope, parameters and tolerances. No retraining for your quality team, no changes to your audit evidence, and no switching cost. Around half of the quality managers who enquire with Labcal are moving from another provider.
How long does calibration take?
Average turnaround is 8 working days from receipt of instruments at our Lymington laboratory. A 3-day fast-track service is available by arrangement for urgent requirements.
