UKAS Lab 0625 | Accreditation
UKAS-accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Labcal is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service under Lab 0625. Our accreditation covers six measurement parameters and is your assurance that the laboratory, its reference standards and its staff have been independently assessed against ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

What UKAS accreditation means
More than traceable. Independently assessed.
Traceable calibration shows the measurement chain leads back to national standards. UKAS accreditation goes further: it is an independent technical assessment of the laboratory itself, against ISO/IEC 17025:2017. It is the difference auditors look for.
01
Independent technical assessment
UKAS assesses our reference standards, measurement methods, environmental controls, staff competence and quality management system. Accreditation under Lab 0625 confirms we meet the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
02
Documented uncertainty and traceability
Every UKAS certificate states the measured value, the expanded measurement uncertainty (k=2) and traceability to national measurement standards, with as-found and as-left data where adjustment is carried out.
03
Accepted by auditors
UKAS-accredited certificates are the recognised route to demonstrating measurement traceability under ISO 9001, GMP, AS9100 and similar frameworks. Certificates from unaccredited labs are routinely challenged.
Accredited scope
Our UKAS scope under Lab 0625
Six parameters, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The ranges below summarise our scope. The definitive scope is the UKAS schedule of accreditation, which you can download in full.
| Parameter | Accredited range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gas & air flow | 0.025 mL/min to 13,000 L/min | Air, argon, carbon dioxide, helium, oxygen and nitrogen |
| Liquid flow | 0.5 mL/min to 500 L/min | Performed using water as the reference liquid |
| Pressure | 0 to 1,400 bar | Specialist low and differential pressure from 0 to 9,000 Pa |
| Temperature | -30°C to +140°C | Thermometers, probes, RTDs, thermocouples, data loggers |
| Humidity | 10% to 90% RH at +15°C to +40°C (15% to 90% RH at +10°C to +15°C) | Environmental chamber calibration |
| Air velocity | 0.1 to 70 m/s | Wind tunnel; optional Laser Doppler Anemometer calibration |
Ranges are provided as a guide. For the complete, definitive scope of accreditation, refer to the UKAS schedule.
Accreditation questions
Common questions about our accreditation
The questions quality and procurement teams ask when verifying a calibration laboratory’s credentials.
What is UKAS accreditation?
UKAS accreditation is independent confirmation by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service that a laboratory meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017. It involves a technical assessment of the laboratory’s reference standards, methods, staff competence and quality management system. Labcal is accredited under Lab 0625.
What parameters is Labcal accredited for?
Labcal holds UKAS accreditation under Lab 0625 for six parameters: gas and air flow, liquid flow, pressure, temperature, humidity and air velocity. The accredited ranges are summarised on this page and defined in full in the UKAS schedule of accreditation.
What is the difference between traceable and UKAS-accredited calibration?
Traceable calibration means the calibration chain can be traced back to national measurement standards, but carries no guarantee about the quality of the laboratory. UKAS accreditation adds an independent technical assessment of the laboratory itself against ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Where can I download Labcal’s UKAS schedule?
The full UKAS schedule of accreditation for Lab 0625 is available to download as a PDF from this page. It sets out the definitive scope, methods and best measurement capability for each accredited parameter.
