UKAS Lab 0625 | HVAC / Cleanroom

Air velocity calibration ISO 14644 won’t challenge.

Cleanroom validation and HVAC commissioning need defensible uncertainty on every velocity, pressure and humidity measurement. Our UKAS wind tunnel and LDA deliver uncertainties rare in the UK market.

Why HVAC and cleanroom validators choose Labcal

The air velocity lab HVAC engineers actually want

Cleanroom validators, HVAC commissioning engineers and controlled environment qualification teams use Labcal because our wind tunnel and LDA capability deliver the uncertainty levels cleanroom work demands.

01
LDA air velocity calibration

Our Laser Doppler Anemometer reference standard delivers low-uncertainty air velocity calibration across 0.1 to 70 m/s. LAF velocity probes, anemometers and Pitot tubes — calibrated to uncertainties you can actually defend in ISO 14644 audits.

02
Differential pressure for cleanroom qualification

Low differential pressure is part of our UKAS scope. Airlocks, LAF cabinets, cleanroom cascades and passbox differentials calibrated to the ranges and uncertainties cleanroom qualification actually requires.

03
One lab for the whole HVAC stack

Air velocity, differential pressure, temperature and humidity — all UKAS-accredited under Lab 0625. Consolidate the instruments your HVAC and cleanroom programme depends on with one supplier, one account, one certificate format.

All six parameters

Every calibration under one UKAS schedule

Consolidate your calibration with one accredited lab. No split shipments, no mixed certificate formats, no extra audit complexity.

HVAC and cleanroom questions

What cleanroom and HVAC teams ask us

Practical answers for cleanroom validators, HVAC commissioning engineers and qualification teams at pharmaceutical, medical device and research facilities.

Do you calibrate anemometers for cleanroom LAF velocity testing?
Yes. Vane and thermal anemometers used for LAF velocity testing, cleanroom qualification and HVAC commissioning are a core part of our UKAS air velocity scope. Our wind tunnel calibrates up to 70 m/s, which is rare in the UK market and directly relevant for ISO 14644 compliance work.
Can you calibrate low differential pressure gauges for cleanroom cascades?
Yes. Low differential pressure is part of our UKAS pressure scope, covering a range from 0 to 9000 kPa for cleanroom pressure cascades, airlock differentials and passbox qualification. Certificates include full uncertainty data at the low ends of range where cleanroom work is most sensitive.
Do you handle combined HVAC instrument sets?
Yes. Most HVAC commissioning and cleanroom validation programmes involve multiple instrument types — anemometers, DP gauges, Digital DP indicators, temperature and humidity probes. We calibrate all four parameters under a single UKAS schedule with unmatched turnaround, so your validation programme doesn’t stall waiting for one slow supplier.
Can I switch to Labcal from my current calibration lab?
Yes, and it’s straightforward. Send us your most recent calibration certificate and we’ll quote a like-for-like service matching your existing scope, parameters and tolerances. No retraining for your quality team, no changes to your audit evidence, and no switching cost. Around half of the quality managers who enquire with Labcal are moving from another provider.
How long does calibration take?
Average turnaround is 8 working days from receipt of instruments at our Lymington laboratory. A 3-day fast-track service is available by arrangement for urgent requirements. Turnaround time begins when instruments arrive at the lab. We can arrange courier collection for high-volume or regular customers.
